Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize

Our skin has a higher tendency to become dry and dull-looking in winter. Moisturizing is one of the best ways to combat dryness.

Maintain soft, healthy skin by moisturizing immediately after washing up, especially your hands. Keep a bottle of lotion or moisture cream in the bathroom and use it every time you wash. Apply moisture to damp skin for better absorption.

Oil-based moisturizers are the best choice for winter. The oil will create a protective layer on the skin and retain even more moisture.


When the temperature dips below 70 degrees, our skin becomes dry and flaky. While moisturizing can help combat dryness, it is best to exfoliate first. Not only will it help get rid of excess dirt your cleanser can’t remove, it will also slough dead skin cells.

Hot water can rob your skin of its moisture, leaving your skin dry, cracked, and irritated. To avoid stripping as many oils away from your skin, bathe with lukewarm water instead.
