WHAT IS IT?
The Perfect Derma™ Peel improves the overall clarity, tone and texture of the skin. It reduces or eliminates hyperpigmentation, sun damage and melasma. it also improves acneic skin conditions while reducing acne scars. The peel stimulates the production of collagen and reduces the appearance of pore size, resulting in firmer, more youthful skin.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
This virtually painless peel requires no pre-peel skin preparation. It is the only peel that includes the powerful antioxidant glutathione, which neutralizes the harmful effects of free radicals, slows down the aging process and helps prevent wrinkles. It is combined with kojic acid, which is a powerful lightener proven to increase collagen and elastin production; TCA, phenol and retinoic acids, which reduce wrinkles and correct pigment problems; and salicylic acid, which exfoliates the skin and reduces inflammation.
The procedure takes about 15 minutes. Patients report a slight tingling or stinging sensation during treatment, which subsides after 30-60 seconds. Numbing takes place once the first pass of the peel is applied. We are happy to use a fan to make you more comfortable!
Immediately after the peel has been applied, your skin will appear red, like a sunburn. Usually, peeling begins on day three. Typically, the peeling process is mainly a sloughing of thin sheets of epidermis skin that begins around day three and generally is completed by days six or seven. Although normal activities may be resumed immediately after your appointment, we recommend avoiding heavy exercise and/or excessive sweating during the peeling process. You shouldn't wear any makeup or skincare products the day of your appointment, and you can resume using makeup on day two.
AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE?
The Perfect Derma™ Peel is safe and effective for all skin types and ethnicities. Only those patients who use Accutane must stop usage 12 months prior to treatment in order to achieve desired results.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO YOU RECOMMEND?
The Perfect Derma™ Peel combines powerful ingredients with effective acids to deliver outstanding results after just a single treatment—just look at the before and after pictures to the left! However, for patients with severe skin conditions such as melasma or active acne, we recommend a series of two to three treatments, once every four weeks. Typically, we recommend two to four treatments per year to sustain the desired results.
